Dapoli has some of the best beaches along the Konkan coastline.

Ladghar Beach - Dapoli
Ladghar Beach

Ladghar beach also known as the Tamas Tirtha due to its reddish hues is the most popular one and also the closest from our location. Ladghar further extends to Karde and Burundi beaches to its north and south sides. Harnai, Murud and Anjarle Beaches famous for their pristine sands are also hot favourites with tourists. Each beach at Dapoli is truly unique and has something different to offer.

Parshuram Bhumi - Dapoli
Parshuram Bhumi

Apart from the sprinkling of temples and forts, there are few sights which should not be missed. Parashuram Bhumi at Ade is a breathtaking place with a 21 feet statue of Lord Parashuram over gigantic spherical earth. Harnai Fish Market is the largest one of it kind fish market boasting of a wide range of sea catch. Unhavare Hot Water Springs are natural springs with proven medicinal benefits. The sunsets at the beaches are truly mesmerizing to capture. For those who love a bit of climb the Keshavraj Hill offers a refreshing trekking activity enjoying the nature.

Historical Places

Dapoli has quite a few historical touches in form of forts and caves.

Suvarnadrga Fort - Dapoli
Suvarnadrga Fort

Suvarnadurga Fort is historical fort built in the 16th century and is located on a small island in the Arabian Sea, near Harnai and accessible via boat. Kanakdurga fort is located near Harnai port and now known for its lighthouse. Mandangad - Chitradurg Fort which is located away from Dapoli is a trekking destination. Apart from the forts, the Buddhist Panhalekaji caves are another attraction.

Temples

Dapoli is blessed by some of the ancient and magnificent temples in Konkan.

Closest to the Ladghar, are the Datta Mandir and Veleshwar the ancient temple of Lord Shiva. Kadyavarcha Ganpati is the ancient Lord Ganesha temple built on the cliff of Anjarle beach. Durga Devi mandir built in 18th century is beautifully carved with eighteen pillars and one of the frequently visited temples. Chandika Devi Mandir at Dabhol is a mystical underground temple formed on its own naturally.

Dining

Dapoli houses some of the best coastal cuisine restaurants.

The local restaurants cater to its veg and non-veg connoisseurs alike. While the non-veg eaters can enjoy Malwani delicacies of spicy fish curries and fish fries prepared with the best and choicest catch, vegetarians too will delight in unique dishes such as cashew curry and the delicious phanasachi bhaji (jackfruit vegetable) along with the famous Kokam drink “Sol Kadi”.

Apart from local cuisine, some of the eateries serve some finest North Indian food.

Water Sports

Dapoli’s offer variety of water sports at almost all beaches.

Dolphin watch rides at Karde beach are a must do and very popular.

Parasailing is another adventure sport that takes place on Murud beach. The aerial view of the beach with surrounding green trees is mesmerizing.

There are varieties of cool rides like Jet Ski, Speed Boat, Dinghy Boat, Banana rides, Bumper rides, Sand cart ride/ ATV ride. One can enjoy Horse and Bullock cart rides too!
